Czech singer and composer whose music is distinguished by its dreamy yet grand atmosphere. In her work, she draws inspiration from cosmic themes and mythical beings such as fairies, will-o’-the-wisps, or water sprites, whose stories she brings into the present. She came to wider public attention in the Czech national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest with her songs True Colors and White & Black Holes, where she won 1st place from the international jury.
Her latest album Will-o’-the-Wisp earned her a nomination for Discovery of the Year at the 2023 Anděl Awards. Live, Barbora Mochowa draws you into her magical musical world - performing with her band and electronics, or in an extended version with a string quartet.
